Coaching Plans

Distance Driven Racing’s (DDR) first priority is athlete safety.  The best way to maximize your potential is by consistent, methodical, training.  The coaches at DDR setup training cycles that are challenging enough to promote growth, but limit your risk of injury.  As the famous coach Jack Daniels said, "It's much better to be 10% undertrained, than 1% overtrained."  In order to keep our athletes healthy, our first step as a staff is to have you fill out a questionnaire in which you will answer questions about your previous running experience, injuries, life stressors, and future goals. 

After talking through your questionnaire, we will start to draft our first 2-3 week segment of training.  Our training isn't written in stone and we want to accommodate each athlete's needs, so being open and honest with your coach is essential.  Our training plans will include the workouts for the week, weekly mileage goals, as well as the desired paces and efforts for your personalized sessions. A weekly email is sent out to describe the purpose behind the workouts and to help athletes understand how that week fits into the season as a whole. Cost: $125 per month (discount available for purchasing multiple months together)
